Where can I park?

There is street parking available to all. Guests are also encouraged to use the single space in front of our driveway/garage. There is also a paid, secure parking lot 2 blocks away on Elysian Fields and Decatur Street.

 
When is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is at 3pm and check-out is at 11am. These times can be flexible, depending on the circumstances. Please let us know in advance. 

What forms of payment do you accept and what is your payment policy?

All payments will go through Airbnb or VRBO, whichever website you choose to book your visit through. We will also be using their payment policy.

What are your booking and cancellation policies?

 Airbnb: Please see our booking and cancellation policies on here .

VRBO:  Instant booking available. 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.  100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.

What are some of the great restaurants nearby? Can you help with reservations?

There are many excellent restaurants within walking distance in the neighborhoods of the French Quarter, Marigny and Bywater. We will be pleased to assist with reservations or answer questions about specific restaurants. You can search for restaurants by neighborhood here.

Are there grocery stores and wine shops that deliver?
  • Whole Foods delivers typically with a 1 day notice. To place your order, contact the Concierge team at 504-899-9119 ext. 225 or email arabellastation.conciergeorders@wholefoods.com.

  • Matassa’s (504-412-8700) offers free, same-day delivery of groceries, sandwiches, catering orders, spirits and ice to our customers 7 days a week from 7am until 30 minutes before we close.

  • For wine and spirits Grand Krewe (504- 309-8309) and Faubourg Wines (504-342-2217) usually will deliver the same day.

 
I want to travel light. Do I need to pack a hair dryer?

We provide hairdryers and offer many other amenities. Please see a full list of amenities below.

 

Do you accept children?

Children are welcome. However, the River House is not “child proof.” Children must be accompanied by an adult in the garden and pool areas. Parents will accept any damages.

 

Your rooms look big. Will you allow three or four people to a room?

Room rates are based on double occupancy. It is possible to book multiple apartments to accommodate parties larger than two people.

 

What is your maximum occupancy?

River House New Orleans has 3 apartments that accept double occupancy in each apartment. Please see rates for multiple apartment bookings.

How can I book a tour?

There are many local tour companies nearby, most within walking distance. We will be pleased to assist with your tour reservations. You can see the variety of tours available here.

Will you be making my bed everyday?

All of our apartments are comfortable, well maintained and eco-friendly. We do not clean apartments on a daily basis.  If additional cleaning is needed during your stay, there is a $25.00 charge per request.
